My Approach
My five-step system for a life built with purpose
Confidence doesn’t come from knowing nothing will go wrong. It comes from knowing you have a plan when it does.
And that confidence didn’t appear overnight. My plan comes from a simple five-step system that I have developed and refined over many years.
Analyse — What actually happened? Look at the facts, not what I hoped would happen.
Understand — Why did it happen? What is the information telling me?
Create a Plan — Decide what I am going to do next, based on what I now understand.
Review — Did the plan actually work? Again, look at the facts.
Improve — Keep what worked, change or bin what didn’t, and make the next version better.

Then the process begins again.
I don’t expect everything to go perfectly. I get things wrong. Plans sometimes don’t work. Circumstances change. I’m human.
What gives me confidence is knowing that when something does go wrong, I don’t need to panic. I already have a system for understanding it and deciding what to do next.
Purpose at the Heart of Everything
And at the heart of everything I do is purpose.
Whether I’m exercising, eating, working, recovering, building a plan or even changing that plan, I want to understand why I’m doing it.
Because once I understand the purpose, I can decide whether what I’m doing is actually achieving it.
Purpose drives my plan. My plan drives my progress.
This approach has guided my recovery from a major heart attack, rebuilt my health, and now shapes every area of my life.
That’s why I share it. Because it works.
